Mayor Jeff Besinio of Baao was recently awarded as one of the TOP 10 MOST OUTSTANDING MAYORS of the PHILIPPINES for his outstanding contribution in upholding peace and social justice in the municipality. In a ceremonial speech on September 17, he humbly said that the award is not only meant for himself but for the municipality of Baao, specially, the men and women in his administration whose unwavering dedication in providing quality services to the population are irrefutable.

I overheard him confessed that, at first, he was reluctant to participate in the awarding as he, admittedly, being newly installed mayor, it does not meant for him. But realizing that the award would serve more to the dedicated personnel of the municipality, it would be of disservice to them if the award is forsaken.
The plaque was presented during the flag raising ceremony. On the stage are municipal councilors, heads and representatives of various departments. The award was given by the International Commission of Diplomatic Relations & Human Rights and Peace Inter-Governmental Organization (ICDRHRP-IGO) Council of Judges on September 12, 2018 at Pasig City. Also acknowledged was Ms. Joane Cortez Tampoco for placing 3rd runner-up in the just concluded Miss Bicolandia.
It should be recall that the Municipality of Baao was also recipient of award on Good Governance and Fiscal Administration in 2017.
